# Introduction

> A cloud built for AI agents and humans

> Nevia is in beta and open to selected teams. Public launch in Dec 2026. The CLI installs with `curl -fsSL https://get.nevia.cloud | sh`, and the MCP server is at https://api.nevia.cloud/mcp. A person signs in once in the browser.

Nevia by Aiven is a cloud for AI agents and humans. It gives each agent its
own Linux computer and Postgres database, ready in milliseconds and asleep
when idle.

Computers give agents a place to run code and use tools. Databases give them
data to work with. Branch either one to try a different approach on its own
copy while the source keeps running.

You and your agents can:

* [Create a computer](https://nevia.cloud/docs/computers/create.md) from an OCI image to run code and tools.
* [Create a database](https://nevia.cloud/docs/databases/create.md) to store and query data with Postgres.
* [Branch a database](https://nevia.cloud/docs/databases/branch.md) to test queries and schema
  changes without touching the source.
* [Save checkpoints](https://nevia.cloud/docs/computers/checkpoints.md) to return a computer to a
  saved state and try again.

Use the [console](https://nevia.cloud/docs/get-started/console.md), the
[CLI](https://nevia.cloud/docs/get-started/quickstart.md) or the
[REST API](https://nevia.cloud/docs/reference/api/identity/getMe.md). To connect an agent, use
[MCP](https://nevia.cloud/docs/get-started/mcp.md).

[Workspaces](https://nevia.cloud/docs/workspaces/manage.md) let your team share the same computers
and databases.

## Get started

* [Onboard with your agent](https://nevia.cloud/docs/get-started/agent-prompt.md): Paste one prompt into Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode and let it walk you through setup.
* [Quickstart](https://nevia.cloud/docs/get-started/quickstart.md): Install the CLI, create a Postgres database and branch it.
* [MCP quickstart](https://nevia.cloud/docs/get-started/mcp.md): Wire the MCP server into your agent and drive everything with tools.
* [Console](https://nevia.cloud/docs/get-started/console.md): See everything you created, whatever route you took.
* [Reference](https://nevia.cloud/docs/reference/cli.md): The nevia command surface and the REST API, call by call.
